Crisis & Support Resources
I'm not a doctor and this site's not a treatment program, it's just a place to talk to people going through the same thing. If you're in real danger or thinking about hurting yourself, don't wait around on this site, use one of these instead.
If you need help right now
988 — Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Call or text 988. Free, confidential, somebody's there 24/7.
1-800-662-4357 — SAMHSA National Helpline
Free, confidential, and they're not gonna call the cops on you. Also runs 24/7.
Text "HOME" to 741741 — Crisis Text Line
If a phone call feels like too much right now, this is the same thing over text.
What withdrawal actually looks like
7-OH (7-hydroxymitragynine) is a concentrated, opioid-like compound that shows up in some kratom extract products. Coming off it feels a lot like opioid withdrawal — anxiety, can't sleep, aches, nausea, sweating, feeling like garbage in general. It's miserable but usually not dangerous by itself. That said, if you've got other health stuff going on, you're pregnant, or you're also coming off alcohol or benzos at the same time, talk to an actual doctor before you quit cold turkey. Mixing withdrawals like that can genuinely hurt you, don't mess around with it.
Looking for real treatment
FindTreatment.gov — free government tool to find treatment places near you.
SAMHSA National Helpline — same helpline as above, more info on it here.
Not ready to quit yet?
That's fine, no judgment. If you're just trying to use safer or taper down instead of stopping outright, National Harm Reduction Coalition has decent info on that.
